The First Murder in Space

Bad Bitch - Success isn't found. It’s seized. Emma Vale was a casualty of the system, a brilliant mind discarded with a layoff notice and a cold thank-you. Now, she’s at Redline Equity, a Wall Street shark tank that expects her to stay behind the admin desk and keep quiet. They’re wrong. In a den of excess where power is treated as a male right, Emma is done playing by the rules. Amazon / Goodreads reviews for 'Bad Bitch'

"Emma Vale is intelligent, interesting & knows how to beat people at their own game. Emma went from being underestimated, told to sit down & do the operational position she was assigned to being at the top of the game looking down on everyone else."

"I was so invested in this character’s success despite not understanding the investment/financial aspects. Maybe one of the highest compliments I can offer a book: when I don’t altogether understand the subject matter but I can’t put it down and I’m all in on the story.

Emma Vale is smart, driven, and easily out-classes everyone else in the room. And they underestimate her at every turn. She was told to be quiet and sit down. Instead she beat them at their own game and then took over the house."

Amazon / Goodreads reviews for 'The First Murder in Space'

"Once again, Dom Ayres has taken me on a reading thrill ride with his storytelling! This standalone sci-fi novel consistently kept me guessing who the killer was. The motives of each crew member were very slowly and deliberately revealed, like layers of an onion. I loved the short, fast-paced chapters that often ended on cliffhangers.

Another thing that impressed me was how convincing the day to day life of the space crew was on the station. It was also clear that the author put in a lot of research to gain knowledge of all the technical space station and scientific information, which made the story all the more believable. Great adventure, great mystery, and kept me guessing until close to the end!"

"I have to be honest and say that this book had me overanalyzing every single characters alibi and motive until the last 85%. I was absolutely captivated by the crew, the thrill & solving the case. Not to mention, how often do you read about a murder in space?? I highly recommend giving this thriller a shot!"

Under Death’s Management

Under Death’s Management is a darkly humorous supernatural novel where bureaucracy meets mortality at Serenity Pines Care Home. When Morton Reeves arrives as the new manager, his unsettling composure and old-fashioned manner raise more than a few eyebrows. Staff turnover is high, but the resident deaths? Even higher.

"This book was a true masterpiece and fantastically written by D.Ayres.

This book was a mixture of suspense and humour, such a fun read, set in a care home. Loved all residents and there humorus personalities but Mr Reeves was by far my favourite. Loved the fact death took on human form and started to really connect to real life. Definitely recommend reading this 5 Star"

"This was such a great story! It was a unique twist on Death and how he goes about taking people. I likes that this took place in a nursing home, it was filled with lots of unique characters who were filled with so much wisdom and drama. Mr. Reeves was a great character and his character development was great. He went from being Death and not caring about humans to wanting to spare them. He genuinely grew to care for them. One of my favorite quotes was "They've taught me more about living than eternity ever did."
